
FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION
July 4, 2026 AMERICA’S 250TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
In 2024 Keep Haralson Beautiful and Haralson County Commissioner Ronnie Ridley signed a proclamation to Declaration Action for The Great(est) American Cleanup to support Keep AMERICA Beautiful’s pledge for a cleaner America.
Whereas, the people of Haralson County, Georgia are dedicated to enhancing the beauty and cleanliness of our community; and
Whereas, we recognize the importance of preserving our environment and fostering civic pride among our citizens; and
Whereas, we acknowledge the transformative power of clean and green spaces to support and promote the wellbeing of all people; and
Whereas, America's 250th Anniversary on July 4, 2026, presents a historic opportunity for us to showcase our commitment to sustainability and community beautification.
We, the Haralson County, Georgia Council, do hereby proclaim our support for and participation in the Declaration of Action for The Great(est) American Cleanup.
By declaring our support for The Great(est) American Cleanup with Keep America Beautiful, we intended to make Haralson County, Georgia a shining example of environmental stewardship and community engagement as we worked together to make our community cleaner, greener, and more beautiful for generations to come.
Our accomplishments for these two years include:
Electronics recycled: 9181 pounds
Tires recycled: 14.69 tons
Textiles: 1343 pounds
Scrap Metal: 7780 pounds
Free Landfill days: 233.7 tons
Participated in a Tallapoosa Citywide cleanup – and Bremen’s Litter Cleanup for their 142 Birthday Bash.
