GREATEST AMERICAN CLEANUP 2026

Old tires contain heavy metals and chemicals which leach into the environment as these tires disintegrate. 

 

Keep Haralson Beautiful offers you an environmentally safe option to remove these from your property. We host a tire recycling event every year.  Ten tires are Free and additional tires with a charge of $10.00 each. There is no limit on tires received. Tire amnesty events are funded with the help of the STAR EPD program grant, which helps us collect and recycle passenger vehicle tires from residents of Haralson County.

The Tire Amnesty Event will take place, April 27 through May 2, 2026, at the Haralson County landfill location (222 Budapest Cemetery Rd, Tallapoosa) during the regular working hours (8 a.m. until 4 p.m. M-F and 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday)​
