​The City of Bremen celebrates 142 years on September 5, 2025.  Celebrate Bremen’s 142nd birthday by helping collect 142 bags of litter around the streets of Bremen. Join us on Saturday, September 6 (HOMECOMING WEEKEND) from 9 a.m. until 12 noon at the HUB in downtown Bremen.  KHB will furnish trash bags, vests, and litter pickers for volunteers. On July 4, 2026, the United States will celebrate  America’s 250th birthday! To ensure the nation looks its best for this moment in time, Keep America Beautiful and more than 700 affiliates across the country are launching the Greatest American Cleanup, with a two-year goal set in 2024 to pick up 25 billion pieces of litter and engage 25,000 communities.

Keep Haralson Beautiful and the City of Bremen will strengthen that goal with Project 142: Bremen’s Birthday Cleanup.

A list of street options will be provided at the HUB.

You must furnish your own transportation.  Please bring your trash bags back to the HUB where a truck or trailer will be waiting.  If you can’t bring them back,  let someone know where they need to be picked up a central location.
